Customer teams can look back on the best race weekends of the season so far with the Audi R8 LMS in Australia and Asia. A total of three victories at two GT World Challenge events show the GT3 sports car’s good form curve, while the Audi RS 3 LMS touring car contributed further valuable results for Audi Sport customer racing.

The Audi Q3 has been a fixture in the premium compact segment for more than a decade. Audi will present the third generation on June 16 – and is already sharing a first glimpse of the new model.

One year ago, Audi set a lap record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with the RS 3, making it the fastest compact car on the 20.832-kilometer racetrack in the Eifel to date. With an optimized chassis setup, semi-slick tires, and 400 PS from the legendary five-cylinder engine, the updated RS 3 was more than seven seconds faster than the pre-facelift version.

As a real-world laboratory, low-volume production at Böllinger Höfe plays a key role in advancing digitalization in production and logistics in line with Audi's 360factory. Audi Sport is collaborating with partners from the Fraunhofer Heilbronn Research and Innovation Centers HNFIZ to explore the future of the picking process in automotive manufacturing using a new approach. First, a needs analysis identified the areas and activities with the greatest potential to optimize processes and reduce employees' workload. In the next step, the research partners will now trial a wide range of technologies from the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in a designated area in production until the end of the year.

Efficiency, improving quality, inspiration: Audi is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in many areas of the company to achieve these goals. The aim is to fully exploit the potential of AI and data – both in company processes and in the customer experience with services and products. AI is currently making the biggest impact in the areas of production and logistics. There, it not only helps save time and money, as Member of the Board of Management for Production and Logistics Gerd Walker explains: “AI is the game changer in our industry. By using it in a targeted way, we are creating a production environment that is not only more efficient and cost-effective but that also meets the highest quality standards and supports people as ideally as possible. That is why we are focusing on integrating AI wherever it is possible and makes sense and systematically expanding applications.”

Customer teams all over the world were victorious with the Audi R8 LMS in GT3 and GT4 versions as well as the Audi RS 3 LMS at the end of May. In addition to overall successes at European level and in America, a wealth of good class results enriched Audi Sport customer racing’s balance sheet.

Audi opened its second charging hub in Tokyo, the world’s largest metropolitan region, on April 24, 2025. The company is thus further expanding its fast-charging network and launching its eighth charging hub worldwide.

Audi is expanding the portfolio of the new Audi A6 with two plug-in hybrid models that combine maximum efficiency and superior comfort with powerful performance. Both the A6 Avant e-hybrid quattro and the A6 Sedan e-hybrid quattro can be ordered in two power levels: 220 kW and 270 kW system output. The new generation of high-voltage battery in the plug-in hybrids has around 45 percent more capacity than its predecessor. As a result, 25.9 kWh (net 20.7 kWh) of power is available for electric driving.

Audi is aligning its Formula 1 project even more consistently with the synergies and working methods of a factory team. As Head of Audi F1 Project, Mattia Binotto will be responsible for development activities at the Hinwil and Neuburg an der Donau facilities, as well as at the future technical center in England.

AUDI AG’s financial performance in the first quarter of 2025 reflects the ongoing challenges of the overall situation. Contributing factors here include the global economic downturn, intensified competition and political uncertainties. At the same time, deliveries of electric cars from the Audi brand rose by around 30 percent compared to the same period last year. Revenue in the first three months of 2025 was 15.4 billion euros, up 12.4 percent on the figure for the same period last year. Operating profit totaled 537 million euros. Net cash flow amounted to EUR -61 million.

In European touring car racing, an Audi Sport customer team put in a convincing performance at the highest European level. At the TCR Europe season opener in Portugal, Team Clairet Sport took the lead of the standings after a victory. Further successes for the Audi RS 3 LMS as well as the GT3 and GT4 versions of the Audi R8 LMS on several continents rounded off the results in April.

China continues to lead the way in the transition to electric mobility. At 2025 Auto Shanghai, Audi is showcasing the models that will bring the company to the forefront of this trend locally and globally, while also remaining a strong player in the market for combustion-engine vehicles. Audi is expanding its A6 model series with a classic business Sedan. It sets standards in design and aerodynamics and makes innovation and comfort in the premium full-size class tangible in every detail. Its drag coefficient of 0.23 is the best value for a combustion-engine production model in Audi history. Modern gasoline and diesel engines with MHEV plus mild hybrid technology ensure increased efficiency with improved performance. In combination with sophisticated suspension technologies, the A6 Sedan impresses with its qualities for everyday and long-distance driving: both the adaptive air suspension and all-wheel steering combine driving comfort and agile handling to the highest degree.

The Audi Sport customer racing teams recorded a series of initial successes worldwide in the 2025 season. Both the GT3, GT2 and GT4 versions of the Audi R8 LMS and the Audi RS 3 LMS touring car helped the teams to clinch trophies in international competitions and club racing.

Audi reaches a milestone and continues to drive forward the circular economy in the automotive industry. The company wants to increase the use of secondary materials in vehicles where it is technically feasible and makes ecological and economic sense. The aim is to increasingly use raw materials for new purposes after their initial usage has ended. Audi has therefore been testing approaches to implement this in the MaterialLoop program since 2023. After initially focusing on technical feasibility, the company has now become the first car manufacturer to develop and implement an economically viable recycling concept for recyclates from end-of-life vehicles together with its partner TSR Resource. In this process, steel scrap from vehicles at the end of their life cycle is turned into high-quality post-consumer secondary material and secured for further use in the automotive supply chain.

Audi Sport is breaking new ground: for the first time in history, LMP and DTM prototypes from the former factory racing programs are available for purchase as exclusive objects in drivable condition. The newly created Audi Sport racing legends project team is building up these fascinating prototypes with manufacturer expertise for a select circle of collectors. Following the program presentation on April 2 in Neuburg an der Donau, Audi Sport will present itself at three international classic car events in Germany, France and Great Britain. The first example is to be handed over in the middle of the year.

The MONaco Big Band will make its debut at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt jazz concert series on Thursday, April 10, at 8 p.m. The official big band of the Musikbund von Ober- und Niederbayern (music association of Upper and Lower Bavaria) revives swing in the style of the 1930s and 1940s. A world first at Böllinger Höfe: Audi is using a virtual programmable logic controller from Siemens on the Edge Cloud 4 Production (EC4P) platform in the body shop. The TÜV-certified network of virtual programmable logic controllers works with a security function specially developed by Siemens.

Built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the new Audi A5 is welcoming additional members to its family. Alongside the pure combustion engine models, Audi is now offering two plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models in two power levels for the A5 series for the first time. Customers will benefit from greater comfort and technical innovations for their daily mobility. The new generation of HV batteries boasts around 45 percent higher capacity. The increased regenerative braking performance contributes to an electric range of up to 110 kilometers.

In their quest for perfect accuracy, body shop workers at Audi often use fine shims to adjust equipment by tenths of a millimeter. “Agile shimming”, which is used on the two-way framer at the Audi Sport plant at Böllinger Höfe, is a unique technology within the group. Shimming during the fitting of the exterior side parts was automated at one location and connected to the in-line measurement station via a control circuit. An algorithm automatically adjusts the actuators. Audi employees from Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt developed the technology together.

Automobili Lamborghini confirms the positive trend of the last few years, closing 2024 with its best-ever results in terms of deliveries, sales, and operating income. Despite challenging conditions in the automotive market, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based carmaker recorded revenues of over 3 billion euro (3.09 billion euros) for the first time in its history, an increase of 16.2 percent versus 2023. Operating profit also grew, rising above 800 million euros to 835 million euro: a 15.5 percent increase compared with 2023. Operating margin remains at 27 percent, consolidating the brand’s position among the most profitable global players in the luxury goods sector.

Bentley Motors today lays the ground on its new BEV assembly line located in the oldest building at the Pyms Lane site while announcing its sixth consecutive year of profitability with record levels of personalisation. Audi Tradition is presenting a special chapter in Audi history with a new exhibition at the Audi Forum Neckarsulm: the company’s rise to the upper mid-size range with the Audi 100. Running until April 30, a total of 17 exhibits from eight generations of the C model series, starting with the Audi 100 from 1968, await visitors on the second floor of the Audi Forum.

Audi is strengthening the Q4 e-tron series by adding a high-range entry-level variant. The fully electric premium model offers extensive standard equipment, a range of up to 412 kilometers (Sportback: 423 kilometers), and DC charging power of 165 kW. With manual battery preconditioning and predictive maintenance reminders, the Q4 40 e-tron ensures even more convenience and ease in everyday driving. The entry-level model with a 63 kWh battery can be ordered starting mid-February.

Global standardization and clear orientation for all customers: Audi is strengthening the alphanumeric format of its nomenclature. Going forward, it will represent the size and positioning of each model globally in a unified and transparent way. The previous distinction between electric vehicles and models with combustion engines according to their number no longer applies.

Whether with 110 or 230 volts or 50 or 60 hertz, at Audi in Ingolstadt, electric cars can now be charged as if they were in China, the United States, or in numerous other countries around the globe. At the new electric-charging test center at the Ingolstadt site, Technical Development is testing electric Audi models under the conditions that prevail in the various sales regions. The results are incorporated directly into the research and development of the vehicles. This means that customers always benefit from the best charging experience, no matter where they are in the world.

The management of Audi Brussels and social partners have reached agreement today on a joint social plan for the approximately 3,000 employees. In addition to the existing offer made by the company, the social plan now enables further measures for older employees.

With the new A5 and Q5 series built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), Audi has launched its first combustion engines with the new MHEV plus technology. With its unique interplay between the powertrain generator (PTG), belt alternator starter (BAS), and a lithium iron phosphate battery, the 48-volt mild hybrid system supports the combustion engine, reduces carbon emissions, and simultaneously increases performance and agility. The PTG, which can be fully coupled or decoupled, features integrated power electronics and an electric motor that enables partially electric driving. This reduces consumption and makes for an even smoother driving experience.

At this year’s world cup weekend in Kitzbühel, Austria, Audi is unveiling a highly emotive Q6. The Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept, a newly developed prototype, features two electric motors with a combined power output of 380 kW and can climb gradients of up to 100 percent thanks to its newly designed portal axles.

Audi Sport customer racing has concluded a challenging season with convincing results. The brand’s customer teams won 206 of 734 races worldwide, achieving a success rate of 28.1 percent. Two overall victories in 24-hour races in Germany and the United Arab Emirates as well as a 12-hour overall victory crown the season of the customers.

Audi FAW NEV Company, a cooperation project between Audi and long-standing partner FAW, has commenced production of all-electric Audi models. The company and its new state-of-the-art plant form a key component of the strategy Audi has adopted for the Chinese market. The new production site in Changchun is the first in China to exclusively produce fully electric Audi models based on the PPE platform, beginning with the Q6L e-tron family, followed by a market-specific version of the Audi A6 e-tron.

Each person consumes five grams of microplastics per week: This was the conclusion reached by the Australian University of Newcastle in 2019. The small plastic particles, up to five millimeters in size, enter the environment through food, cosmetics and washing clothes, for example, and into our bodies via the water cycle. In order to reduce the proportion of microplastics, the city of Copenhagen uses a special microplastic filter. It is intended to capture microplastics such as tire abrasion that is washed from the street into the sewage system. The filter is based on a funding project from the TU Berlin and the Audi Environmental Foundation. A filter structure that is specially adapted to the waste typical for the area of operation will be piloted in the city of Copenhagen from November and is intended to make a contribution to clean water.

Following a class title in Belgium, the Audi R8 LMS GT2 has now also won a category in Spanish endurance racing. Two class successes for the Audi RS 3 LMS in the TCR Spain round off the touring car season. Various Audi customer teams have clinched further trophies in national and international endurance racing. The GT3 version of the Audi R8 LMS was the race car of choice for the successful club racing drivers, as was the Audi RS 3 LMS touring car.

Auto Guangzhou in southern China is set to delight visitors with some impressive premieres: Audi and its local partners are showcasing three product highlights exclusively for the Chinese market at this year’s fair. The Audi Q6L e-tron will be presented at the FAW stand shortly before its market launch as the first locally produced vehicle based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The A5L, successor to the A4L, will also be on display. At the SAIC stand, visitors can expect to see the recently presented AUDI E concept and the sister brand AUDI, written in capital letters. This model embodies intelligent and connected electric vehicles that are being jointly developed by Audi and SAIC specifically for China. Audi is positioning itself in China with its two-partner strategy. Collaborating with the local car manufacturers FAW and SAIC, Audi is developing customized vehicles for the Chinese market.

A quarter of a century of TT history: When Audi presented the concept car at the IAA in 1995, public opinion became clear right away: “This car should be mass-produced – exactly as it is!” With the series debut in 1998, the Audi TT wrote design history and was built across three generations as a Coupé and Roadster.

A super sports car legend takes its leave: In its 17 years, the Audi R8 has captured hearts and celebrated just as many successes. After 45,949 units produced, the final R8 rolled off the line at Böllinger Höfe in March 2024. A look back at an unparalleled success story.

The Audi RS 3 LMS remains a guarantee for victories on Italian soil. In the Coppa Italia Turismo at Misano, two race wins and the two titles in the overall standings and the DSG class went to drivers of the compact touring car from Germany. In the TCR European Endurance, three class titles had already been secured for the Audi RS 3 LMS. Now a driver duo under the sign of the four rings also won the overall classification. Three victories at Bathurst – two for the Audi R8 LMS GT3 sports car and one for the Audi RS 3 LMS – also brought the season to a good conclusion in Australia.

With its characteristic off-road design and increased ground clearance, the A3 allstreet sets itself apart from the derivatives of the A3 family at first glance. The crossover is now available as a plug-in hybrid, making it ideal for everyday life. With high battery capacity, strong recuperation performance, DC charging, and intelligent drive management, the A3 allstreet 40 TFSI e offers emission-free driving for local trips and outstanding efficiency in most everyday situations.

Audi is setting up for the future in China. To this end, the company is launching its first new brand alongside the Audi E concept: AUDI – without the four rings logo but spelled in four capital letters – signals both the connection to and differentiation from the sister brand. Based in and tailored for China, brand and car represent the best of both worlds – unmistakable Audi DNA meets China innovations. The AUDI E concept perfectly shows how an automobile can exceed Chinese users’ expectations. Gernot Döllner, Audi CEO: “By launching this new brand for electric and intelligent models in China, Audi is breaking new ground to tap into new and more tech-savvy customer segments.”

The driver pairing for Audi’s entry into Formula 1 in 2026 has been set. One of the most promising talents for the future will represent the four rings in the pinnacle of motorsport: Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto (20) will drive alongside German Nico Hülkenberg (37) for Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber next year, which will transform into the Audi F1 factory team in 2026. The experienced Hülkenberg, who was confirmed in April, and the promising F1 rookie Bortoleto form a well-matched driver pairing for Audi’s Formula 1 project.

The Audi Group's financial performance in the first nine months reflects the challenging macroeconomic situation. This includes a difficult market environment and expected restructuring expenses, for example as a result of a possible alternative use or a possible plant closure of the Brussels site. In the first nine months of 2024, revenue amounted to €46.3 billion, operating profit was €2.1 billion, and net cash flow amounted to €3.8 billion. The Progressive* brand group delivered a total of 1,251,381 vehicles from January to September, including 115,788 all-electric models. Audi is currently launching electric models and highly efficient combustion-engine vehicles in important core model series as part of a major product initiative. With the Audi Agenda, the company is also increasing its competitiveness and improving its processes and organizational structures.

The sun is already hovering over the Mediterranean, the temperature is in double digits, and the conditions are almost ideal. We meet Roland Waschkau, responsible for the chassis development of the RS Q8 performance, in front of the hotel in Sitges. He points to the most powerful production vehicle with a combustion engine in Audi's history. His enthusiasm for the car is written all over his face. "The RS Q8 performance combines everyday practicality and sporty attributes like no other vehicle," enthuses the developer. The new performance version of the RS Q8 is the highest configuration level of its model series.

Audi Sport customer racing’s touring car season continues to be a string of success. After a total of ten overall and class titles in Denmark, at European level, in Canada, the Middle East and the USA, further titles in the fiercely contested TCR Italy have now been added to the positive season tally. With the Audi R8 LMS GT4, another production-based product from Audi Sport helped customer teams in Europe and Asia to class victories and a title on the last weekend in October.

The A6 e-tron family is expanding: Audi is launching an entry-level variant with rear-wheel drive and a more affordable variant with quattro drive. The new drive variants are now available to order. The A6 Sportback e-tron costs 62,800 euros, and the A6 Avant e-tron 64,450 euros. The price for the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro is 79,800 euros, and for the A6 Avant e-tron quattro 81,450 euros.

The Audi RS 3 is the most powerful model in its series and the gateway into the world of Audi Sport. With the upgrade of the current generation, it is even sportier, thanks in part to an optimized chassis setup. The increased agility ensures best times and immense driving pleasure on winding terrain – on the racetrack and in everyday use.

The Audi Environmental Foundation defines “greenovation” as innovative technologies that either contribute directly to environmental protection or make an existing practice from the fields of research and the economy more environmentally friendly than before. Since 2009, the Foundation has initiated scientific and technical projects for a livable environment, conducted environmental education, and motivated people of every age to take action to protect our natural resources. At an evening of discussion with renowned astrophysicist Harald Lesch and time researcher Jonas Geissler, the Foundation looked back on its first 15 years of activity with around 300 guests at the Ingolstadt Cultural Center. Guests included Gerd Walker, Member of the Board of Management for Production and Logistics at AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Audi Environmental Foundation, and former ski racer Felix Neureuther, also a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

The new Audi A5 impressed numerous media representatives and many potential customers with its qualities at its world premiere. Now it is proving its qualities in the south of France: the model variants of the Audi A5 unfold their full potential on the winding roads of the Côte d'Azur.

Internationally, but also in Germany, numerous Audi customer teams once again made positive headlines. For the first time, a driver team won the Europe-wide International GT Open, while the Audi R8 LMS once again prevailed in the GT Sprint Challenge in China and the South Island Endurance Series thanks to dedicated customer teams in China and New Zealand. An overall title in the Extreme Supercars Series in South Africa rounds off the list of successful championship finishes. In addition, there were individual race successes in overall or class rankings in three German competitions.

A grand finale to a quarter of a century of extraordinary cooperation: Audi and ABT Sportsline entered the DTM finale at the Hockenheimring for the last time together and kept the title fight exciting right to the end. In the end, Kelvin van der Linde finished second in the standings in the 2024 season after a race win on Saturday. Since May 28, 2000, the team from Germany’s Allgäu region has relied on racing cars with the four rings in exactly 333 DTM competitions. With five drivers titles, 78 victories and many other best performances, the track record of both partners is overwhelming compared to the competition.

Ceremonial inauguration at the Neckarsulm site: Audi opened the new primer building on the factory premises in the presence of more than 200 guests. The facility sets new standards in the automotive industry with sustainable technologies and processes and is suitable for both combustion and electric vehicles. The top coat plant is also currently being restructured until 2025. With the renovation of the paint shop, AUDI AG is making a targeted investment in the site and gearing it towards a sustainable future.

FC Bayern Munich’s stars up close: The club receives company cars for the current soccer season at the Audi Piazza in Ingolstadt. Audi employees hand over the keys to all-electric premium vehicles to several players, coaches, and officials. Fans of Germany’s most successful club can now download the official FC Bayern app from the Audi Application Store, which offers users access to the latest news, live match updates and match reports, all optimized for in-car use.

On the second weekend in October, the Audi Sport customer racing teams continued their series of successes in worldwide motorsport. A TCR title in North America, the Gold category title in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, an amateur championship at the ADAC Racing Weekend and a touring car success in Belgium are the highlights of the tally. Individual victories for the GT2 and GT4 versions of the Audi R8 LMS complete the results.

With a higher battery capacity, DC charging at fast-charging stations, and an electric range of up to 143 kilometers, the Audi A3 Sportback TFSI e is undergoing a comprehensive technology upgrade. Its intelligent drive management ensures outstanding efficiency, high recuperation performance, and locally emission-free driving over long distances in everyday life. The plug-in hybrid combines dynamic handling with increased comfort.

Audi is expanding its electric-model portfolio with the Q6 Sportback e-tron, a successful and very popular body variant. The powerful, iconic SUV design typical of Audi in the Q6 SUV e-tron has been complemented by the essence of the Sportback’s features. The result is an even more progressive and sporty silhouette that appeals to design-conscious customers in particular. With the new incarnation, the almost perfect proportions are even more apparent. Thanks to its dynamic rear and the resulting aerodynamic benefits, the Q6 Sportback e-tron performance is the range champion in the Q6 series, with up to 657 kilometers. The Q6 Sportback e-tron, which features the familiar strengths of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) in terms of performance, range, efficiency, and charging, is yet another example of the scalability of the platform.

Flat hierarchies, clear responsibilities, faster decision-making processes: Audi is systematically restructuring its vehicle development in line with the principles of the matrix organization. With the internal presentation of the new collaboration model, Gernot Döllner and the project team have now laid the groundwork for the transformation of Product Line Management, Technical Development, and the associated interface partners at Audi. At the same time, the CEO announced the reorganization of other divisions.

October got off to a perfect start for Audi Sport customer racing: Gentleman driver and former professional Johnny O’Connell secured the GT3 title in the GT America powered by AWS racing series in an Audi R8 LMS in a thrilling finale. In France, the Audi R8 LMS GT4 has continued its streak of title successes since 2018 thanks to the performance of customer team CSA Racing. The Danish team Storm Development added to the customer racing record with an endurance class title in the Audi RS 3 LMS. And Audi’s popular touring car prevailed in a round of TCR Japan for the first time this year.

The renowned European consumer protection organization Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) has awarded the Audi Q6 e-tron the top rating of “five stars”. The vehicle was assessed in the categories “protection of adult occupants”, “child safety”, “protection of vulnerable road users”, and “assistance systems available as standard” and achieved excellent results in all test categories.

Two private Audi teams have secured optimum starting positions with the GT3 version of the Audi R8 LMS ahead of the final rounds of their racing series. In the European International GT Open, the driver line-up from Eastalent Racing is tied on points with an opponent at the top, while Wolfbrook Motorsport celebrated its second win of the season on the South Island in New Zealand. Podium results for the GT4 version of the sports car and the Audi RS 3 LMS TCR touring car round off a successful September for Audi Sport customer racing.

23 years ago, Mattias Ekström competed in the DTM as an Audi factory driver for the first time. Now he is finally saying “Adjö” to the four rings in his native Swedish. The exceptional sportsman, who always stood by his opinions and was therefore also able to polarize, was a first-class ambassador for Audi: two-time DTM champion, rallycross world champion, Spa 24 Hour race winner, Dakar stage winner and conqueror of the legendary Streif downhill ski run – uphill in an all-electric Audi e-tron technology demonstrator.

Across all four race car categories, Audi’s customer teams recorded a convincing weekend internationally. The GT2, GT3 and GT4 versions of the Audi R8 LMS achieved top performances in various overall and class rankings in Europe and South Africa. Following its recent successes, the Audi RS 3 LMS touring car is on course to win the title in two Italian and one North American racing series. Audi Sport customer racing can therefore look forward to exciting motorsport in customer hands in the coming weeks.
